Please send us a two to five page Executive Summary that outlines:
- The market opportunity – how big is the market for the company’s technology? What disease states and what patient groups do the technology address? Who makes the purchasing decision and who will pay?
- Technology overview – specify capabilities, uniqueness and IP/patent position.
- Competitive and substitute analysis – How is the disease treated today? Explain how your technology improves upon today’s gold standard. Who else is seeking to solve the problem and how?
- Project status quo – what has been done to date and what still needs to be done?
- People – who is involved in the venture and what is their experience?
- Clinical and regulatory path to market – FDA track (i.e. PMA versus 510(k)), likely trial size and endpoints.
- References – give us some helpful web links or research papers we can use for some initial due diligence.
If we like the summary document we will contact you for more detailed information and/or a conference call. All being well we will perform more serious due diligence, where we call on our clinical specialists and practitioners and talk to our VC consortium partners.
We will endeavor to provide a quick initial answer – when we find something we like we move very quickly.
